Technical fabrics and knits for mattress, upholstered furniture and clothing manufacturers
We help you choose the right material for your production, send samples for testing and deliver it regularly, always to the same specification. Our catalogue holds more than 250 knits for sportswear, underwear and swimwear.
Who we are
Stockinette supplies technical fabrics to companies that sew and upholster every day. We work with manufacturing plants on steady, repeatable deliveries.
We stay in touch after delivery, too. If the material doesn’t behave on your line the way it should, we work out a solution together with you.
What we deliver

Stretch fabric for foam protection
Stockinette works wherever foam meets the other layers of a product. Mattress manufacturers pull it over core blocks before they go into the cover, sewing workshops make borders and covers from it, upholstery workshops lay it under the fabric of seats, backs and cushions, and pillow makers wrap visco and memory foam inserts in it. In every one of these places it reduces friction between the foam and the rest of the construction and holds the layers together until the product is closed.
We can supply it in weights from 30 to 100 g/m², with 50 g/m² the most popular choice. Thanks to two-way stretch, a single item covers the full range of block heights. Stockinette is white as standard, and in the black version the foam inside the product stays out of sight. We match the yarn to your customers’ requirements — virgin, 100% recycled rPET or PAN — and before you roll it out, we send a sample for testing on your line.
